Charles Hamelin

After 19 years of speed skating, Charles Hamelin is now considered a leader in the national short track speed skating team because of his experience and constant presence on the international podiums.  

The Olympic champion of Vancouver in the 500m and relay events, continues to excel and has big ambitions for the actual season.  Competing in the World Cup circuit since 2003, he has now a place among the best skaters in the world.  During the current season, Charles reached 9 World Cups podium on individual races, (with a possibility of 10).  His last victory made him the third most decorated man in the history of short track World Cups, with a total of 103 medals. He hopes to be as successful at the Sochi Olympic Games.
